The Eugenics Record Office was the central eugenics research facility in the country, but it was also part of a broader worldwide eugenics movement. Popular understandings of race, immigration, history, and “better breeding” were shaped by both university and armchair eugenicists who looked at a broad range of social issues through the lens of eugenics. The library contains publications that simultaneously were influenced by and influenced the ERO.
